Bourbon Recipes
Here are some popular recipes you can use bourbon whiskey in (if you're too much of a weenie to drink it straight up, that is).
MANHATTAN
A classic, simple recipe.

2 oz. bourbon
1/2 oz. sweet vermouth
dash of bitters

Stir with ice in a mixing glass.  Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a cherry.
WHISKEY SOUR
This recipe can also be done with a sweet and sour mix you purchase at a store, but here's how from scratch:

2 oz. bourbon
1 oz. lemon juice
1/2 to 1 tsp. powdered sugar

Shake with ice and strain into glass.  Garnish with an orange slice, cherry, or both.
OLD FASHIONED
A refreshing bourbon drink.  Don't put the bourbon away during the summer!

In a glass, muddle:

1/2 tsp. sugar
splash of water
dash of bitters

Add ice and stir in 1-2 oz. of bourbon.
Garnish with a cherry, a slice of orange, or both.
BOURBON HOT TODDY
Now, when the weather does turn cold, try this one.

1 tsp. superfine sugar
2 cloves
slice of lemon
piece of cinnamon stick
2 oz. bourbon

Combine all in an old-fashioned glass or a mug.  Add 1 1/2 oz. of boiling water.  Stir.
BOURBON COFFEE
We don't need no stinkin' Irish Coffee.  This is just as good!

Pour yourself a 5-6 oz. cup of joe.  Add 1 1/2 oz. of your favorite bourbon and 1 rounded tsp. of sugar.  Stir.  If you like, top it with whipped cream.  Then enjoy your morning...(of a day off, right?)
DON'T BE A WEENIE BOURBON
A new take on an old favorite.

Pour 2-3 oz. of your favorite bourbon in a rocks glass.  Sip it slowly, drink it quickly, or belt it back.  Just don't be a weeny about it.  "Whiskey face" is fine, as long as you don't gag, heave, or bring it back up.  Enjoy.
